Hetero Biopharma organized a consecutive session for renal nurses on “Right way of doing Dialysis & Importance of managing Anemia in CKD”
As a tribute for the untiring efforts put in nurses for the betterment of world, WHO has recognised 2020 as “International Year of Nurses”. Being a healthcare professional, it is important to be updated in their respective field of operations, In continuation to the same Hetero Biopharma has organised a webinar on 06-06-2020 for renal nurses and dialysis staff on “Right way of doing dialysis & importance of managing anaemia in CKD”
We at Hetero Biopharma under its Knowledge exchange platform KBB- Knowledge Beyond Borders with an objective of REACHing every stakeholder including Patients, Prescribers & Partners engaged the renal nurses and dialysis staff for the second time from different countries of Africa, Asia and CIS
The topic presented by Mr Lakshmipathy, Director Edvego technologies & international dialysis with his three decades of experience, on the real time challenges faced by renal nurses during the process and many minor factors which go unnoticed and can lead to future complications. He also provided interesting formulas for easy calculation of dialysate and other components during the process of dialysis. It was a reiterate on the basics of dialysis for the all the participants
Another important parameter of dialysis managing anaemia in CKD cases was briefed by Dr Vikram Kumar Shetty – MD(Clinical pharmacology) GM- Medico marketing and clinical affairs-Biologics Business, under the head “Importance of managing anaemia in CKD”. He has taken through the stages of CKD, complications of CKD, detection of anemia, prevelance and treatment of Anemia using long acting ESA ‘Derise’(Darbepoetin alfa), benefits of using long acting ESA for patients and also nursing staff was very well presented. More than 220 participants has joined the session through different platforms (Zoom and FB live) and was very well appreciated by nursing community
