Awareness Programmes on CKD organized in Sri Lanka
Hetero Biopharma – the biologics arm of Hetero Group in collaboration with its strategic business partner George Stuart Health Ltd had organized a community awareness programme on Chronic Kidney Diseases (CKD) at Karuwalagaswewa of Puttalam district in Sri Lanka. The programme was organized for the general public who does not have access to basic healthcare services or have any knowledge about the disease.
As a part of the public awareness initiative, our partner George Stuart Health also organized a free medical camp with a team comprising of 7 medical specialists and 14 nurses. Around 1640 people had attended the medical camp, in which attendees were offered free-of-cost doctor consultation along with blood tests for timely detection of CKD and thereby prevent the progression of the disease. The initiative gave Hetero Biopharma an opportunity to promote its brand ‘DERISE’ (Darbepoetin alfa) by distributing scientific and patient education brochures.
